Osmanthus fragrans is the ornamental and practical excellent garden tree featured with greening, beautification, fragrance in one, has been domesticated China for 2500 years. Besides, an increasing number of papers on O. have published so far, but these contributions not analyzed comprehensively. Considering that, this research, a bibliometric methodology adopted documents related to obtained from WoS database. The study demonstrated main countries institutions terms field. Among them, Chinese research leading position world. Regarding specialization, institution ranking led by Nanjing Forestry University, Henan Zhejiang University. Apart analysis keywords also highlighted lines associated plant functionality (e.g., antioxidant, antifungal activity, anti-inflammatory activities), natural products carotenoids, aroma, flavonoids, essential oils, phenylethanoid glycosides, salidroside), molecular biology genetic diversity, transcription factors, phylogeny). results revealed that there lack production mechanism floral flower color regulation fragrans. Moreover, aroma are gradually developing into areas It expected future field will focus biochemistry biomolecules.
